A key item discussed at the previous board meeting was the need for volunteers as we move forward with events and outreach.  Committees for both events and fundraising have been formed and we are looking for people who are interested in volunteering their time and energy in these areas.

We are planning to have an informational meeting in the future for those who are interested in becoming involved in Follow the Buffalo, Inc., whether that is joining a committee, volunteering, or starting a new project.

Additionally, our 501(c)3 application is complete and has been submitted to the IRS.  We expect a response early in 2013.

The Board of Directors met yesterday, primarily to discuss the progress of our 501(c)(3) application.  Once our application is submitted, reviewed, and approved, Follow the Buffalo, Inc. will be a tax-exempt non-profit organization.  As part of the application process, we’ve been discussing and clarifying many of our goals, and this will be reflected in upcoming website updates, as more information is made available to you, our community.

We have also started planning an event for early 2013 that we are all very excited about, and more information will be available soon.

If you have any questions please email jeff@followthebuffalo.org or visit our contact page.  We welcome your comments, questions, and ideas!

Thank you for being part of our spiritual community, without your support of us and our mission, Follow the Buffalo, Inc. would not be possible.  Aho, Mitakuwe Oyasin – All my relations!
